A Connected Ecosystem of Care
Much of our shared work has pointed to a central conviction: foster care can be reimagined when local ecosystems of care, anchored by the Church, come together to meet the relational, material, and spiritual needs of vulnerable children and families.
In Fort Worth, that vision is taking shape. Public leaders, community organizations, neighborhood residents, churches, and innovators are working together to strengthen the local foster care system — and Flourish Fund is helping cultivate the relationships, resources, innovation, and shared action that make this collaboration possible.
Over two days, we’ll explore foster care in Fort Worth from multiple perspectives: beginning with the county-wide system, moving into neighborhoods experiencing the deepest need, and seeing how local churches are creatively engaging alongside vulnerable children and families. We’ll also gather Thursday evening to celebrate the winners of the Fort Worth Foster Care Innovation Challenge.
Our hope is that you’ll leave with a tangible picture of what a local ecosystem of care, anchored by the Church, can look like and a clearer understanding of Flourish Fund’s role in helping that ecosystem take root and grow.

Wednesday, October 28
Arrive in Fort Worth and gather for an informal evening of dinner and connection with members of the Flourish Fund community and local friends.
6:00 p.m. - Welcome Dinner
Thursday, October 29
We’ll spend the day seeing Fort Worth’s foster care ecosystem in action - meeting local leaders and visiting organizations, neighborhoods, and churches working together to support children and families.
8:30 am - Depart from the hotel
9:00 am - Introduction to Foster Care in Fort Worth
11:30 am - Lunch
12:30 - 4:30 pm - Ecosystem Site Visits
4:30 pm - Return to hotel and break
6:00 - 9:00 pm - Fort Worth Innovation Challenge Winners Celebration Showcase & Dinner
Friday, October 30
We’ll spend our final morning learning more about emerging work in Fort Worth and enjoying time together in the city before concluding with an informal lunch.

For those able to join us early, we will gather for a welcome reception and dinner on Wednesday evening to kick off our time together. A limited number of rooms are available for Wednesday night, so please indicate your interest when registering.
Which airport should I use?
DFW International Airport is the closest option (~40-minute drive). Dallas Love Field is also an option (~40-55 minute drive).
Dress Code: Texas Smart Casual
Comfortable, polished attire is encouraged for daytime meetings and site visits, with comfortable walking shoes. For Thursday evening’s celebration dinner, think elevated business casual — jackets, dresses, boots, and Western-inspired touches are welcome.
